Commission approval of Federal Register notice: The Commission has approved the publication of a Federal Register notice announcing the regulatory review of two rules scheduled for 2005, as well as its revised 10-year schedule for reviewing rules and guides overall. As detailed in the notice, which will be published in the Federal Register shortly and can be found as a link to this press release on the FTC’s Web site, in 2005, the Commission will conduct a regulatory review of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Rule, 16 CFR part 312, and the Deceptive Advertising as to Sizes of Viewable Pictures Shown by Television Receiving Sets Rule, 16 CFR part 410. The notice also contains a revised regulatory review calendar for the next 10 years. The Commission vote approving publication of the Federal Register notice was 5-0. Issuance of Commission reports: The Commission has approved the issuance of a report prepared at the request of Congress, which is now on the FTC’s Web site as a link to this press release. Commission approval of final consent order: Following a public comment period, the Commission has approved a final consent order in the matter concerning Sunbelt Lending Services, Inc. The Commission vote approving the final consent order was 5-0.
