The original complaint in this matter, announced on June 10, 2003, alleged that health claims for Coral Calcium Supreme made by Trudeau and several other defendants were deceptive, in violation of the FTC Act. Through the action, the FTC has added three additional liability defendants and two relief defendants in this matter. They include: 1) Karbo Enterprises, Inc.; 2) Shop America Marketing Group; 3) TruStar Global Media; 4) K.T. Corp.; and 5) TruCom, LLC. The Commission vote to approve the amended complaint was 5-0.
