In October 2001, the Commission issued an administrative challenge to MSC.Software's 1999 acquisitions of Universal Analytics, Inc. and Computerized Structural Analysis & Research Corp. (FTC File No. 001 0077; see press release titled "FTC Challenges MSC.Software's Acquisitions of Its Two Nastran Competitors," dated October 10, 2001.)
