The Federal Trade Commission today announced the following actions:

Commission action regarding applications for approval:

  • Following a public comment period, the Commission has approved an application of a transaction from the following: Supervalu, Inc. The application concerns the assignment of the lease for the remainder of the lease term of a Supervalu, Inc. store to Apple Market. The store is located at 4081-A East Olive Road, Pensacola, Florida 32514. Jitney-Jungle Stores of America, Inc. et al. originally divested the store to Supervalu under the terms of the order in Docket No. C-3784.

The Commission vote to approve the transaction was 5-0. (FTC Docket No. C-3784; staff contact is Daniel P. Ducore, 202-326-2526; see press release dated September 12, 1997.)  

Consent agreements given final approval:

  • Following a public comment period, the Commission has made final a consent order with the following: DBC Financial, Inc. The Commission vote to finalize the consent order was 5-0. (FTC File No. 992-3228; staff contact is Michelle Chua, 202-326-3248; see press release dated February 4, 2000.)

Applications for approval of transactions:

  • The FTC has received an application for the approval of a proposed divestiture from the following: Fidelity National Financial, Inc. The application concerns Fidelity National's request for Commission approval to sell a copy of its title plant serving San Benito County, California, to Stewart Title of California, Inc., based in San Diego. The application was made pursuant to the provisions of Docket No. C-3929.

The Commission is seeking public comment on the application for 30 days, until April 20, 2000. Comments should be sent to the Office of the Secretary, 600 Pennsylvania Ave., N.W., Washington, D.C. 20580. (Docket No. C-3929; staff contact is Daniel P.
