  • Appointment of hold separate trustee:

The FTC has approved the appointment of Deloitte Consulting LLC as a hold-separate trustee in the following matter: Exxon Mobil Corporation. This trustee is being appointed per the Commission's recent decision and order -- and order to hold separate and maintain assets -- in this matter.  

The Commission vote to appoint the hold separate trustee was 4-0, with Commissioner Thomas B. Leary not participating. (FTC File No. 991-0077; Docket No. C-390; staff contact is Elizabeth A. Piotrowski, 202-326-2623; see press release dated November 30, 1999.)

  • Amended complaints:

The Commission hasvoted to amend the complaint in the following matter, adding Larry O. Ellis, Lee Siegel and Scott Earl as defendants: National Supply & Distribution Center, Inc. et al (CV-99-12828 HLH AJWx). The original complaint was filed on December 7, 1999 in the U.S. District Court, Central District of California, as part of the Commission's law enforcement actions in 'Operation Missed Print.'  

The Commission vote to amend the complaint was 5-0. (See news release dated December 16, 1999; FTC File No. 992-3229; staff contact is Elaine D. Kolish, Bureau of Consumer Protection, 202-326-3042.)

  • Dismissed complaints:

The Commission has voted to dismiss an administrative complaint in the following matter: Tenet Healthcare Corporation. The original administrative complaint was filed on August 19, 1998.  

The Commission vote to dismiss the administrative complaint was 5-0. (See news release dated August 20, 1998; Docket No. 9289; staff contact is Oscar M. Voss, Bureau of Competition, 202-326-2750.)

  • Consent agreements given final approval:

Following a public comment period, the Commission has made final a consent agreement with the following entity, and forwarded a letter to the commenter of record: Associated Octel Company Ltd. The Commission action makes the consent order binding on the respondent.  

The Commission vote to finalize the consent agreement was 4-0, with Commissioner Thomas B. Leary not participating. (FTC File No. 991-0288; staff contact is Geoffrey M. Green, 202-326-2641; see press release dated September 7, 1999.)
