Event Description

The Workshop addressed four major topics: computerized databases containing identifying information about consumers; unsolicited commercial e-mail; consumers' online privacy; and children's privacy in the online environment. The workshop gathered data for the Congressionally requested database study being conducted by the FTC and examined industry's response to the growing concern about personal privacy in the new online marketplace.
