“Examining Health Care Workshop” starts tomorrow!

Tomorrow and Friday, March 20-21, the FTC will host a two-day public workshop to examine evolving activities and trends that may be affecting competition in the health care industry.

The two-day agenda features a diverse group of health policy experts as speakers and workshop participants. For more details about specific topics we intend to cover, see our prior blog post.

The workshop, which is free and open to the public, begins promptly at 9:00 a.m. EDT tomorrow, and Chairwoman Ramirez will deliver opening remarks. On Friday, the workshop begins at 8:30 a.m. EDT. If you are attending in person, please allow plenty of time to get through security and find a seat. Seating is limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Due to the anticipated popularity of this event, people are encouraged to watch the live webcast. In addition to the webcast, we will be live-tweeting the event from our @FTC Twitter account with the hashtag #FTChealthcare.

The workshop will be held at the FTC Conference Center, 601 New Jersey Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20001. Please click for directions to the venue.

And don’t forget: as explained in our Federal Register notice, public comments will be accepted through April 30, 2014.
