Jeroen Terstegge
Jeroen Terstegge is Corporate Privacy Officer and Senior Counsel for Royal Philips. He is responsible for coordinating compliance with privacy and data protection laws in Philips globally, and advises the Philips businesses on privacy issues in general. Furthermore, he is Advisor to NXP Semiconductors. He serves as the Chair of the Advisory Committee on New Technologies and Consumer Privacy Protection to the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, and represents Philips on the privacy taskforces of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the Business and Industry Advisory Committee to the OECD (BIAC), and the Dutch Industry and Employers Association (VNO-NCW). He was the Chair of the privacy taskforce of the European ICT Industry Association (EICTA) and is a member of the Public Policy Steering Committee Europe of EPCglobal on behalf of NXP Semiconductors.
Mr. Terstegge is a founding member of the European Privacy Officers Forum (EPOF) and is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). He has received the IAPP Privacy Innovation Award 2006 for his pioneering work on Binding Corporate Rules for international data transfers. Mr. Terstegge graduated from Groningen University in Business Administration and Business Law.
