Hemanshu Nigam is the Chief Security Officer for Fox Interactive Media, the parent company of MySpace.com. Mr. Nigam oversees safety, education and privacy programs, and law enforcement affairs for MySpace. Prior to joining Fox Interactive Media, Mr. Nigam was the Director of Consumer Security Outreach & Child Safe Computing for Microsoft. Mr. Nigam has over 15 years of experience in online safety.
Mr. Nigam has also worked for the Motion Picture Association of America where he was vice president of Worldwide Internet Enforcement, and as a trial attorney in the United States Department of Justice, Criminal Division. His work at the Depart of Justice focused on cases involving child pornography, child predator and child trafficking, and computer crime. Mr. Nigam also served on the Vice President’s Committee on CyberStalking, was a legal advisor to the COPA Commission, and the law enforcement liaison to ISPs and filtering technology companies on child online protection issues.
