Albert Cheng has been the Vice President of Digital Media at the Disney-ABC Television Group since September of 2005. His role involves general management and strategic oversight of digital media. Mr. Cheng also develops ancillary revenue streams for Disney-ABC Television Group’s broadcast and cable networks, which include ABC News, ABC Family, ABC Daytime and the Disney Channel. He is also responsible for creating digital media and online business ventures and partnerships. Mr. Cheng leads a newly founded digital media team that oversees marketing, operations and product development for Disney-ABC’s digital media content platforms.
Prior to his current position, Mr. Cheng served as Senior Vice President, Business Strategy and Development for Disney and ESPN Networks Affiliate Sales and Marketing. In this role, he oversaw the development of interactive products related to the Disney-ABC Networks Group’s cable television channels. Prior to this, he was the Senior Vice President, Distribution and Strategy Operations for ABC Cable Networks Group. He has also held positions at Fox Cable Networks Group and the Boston Consulting Group. Mr. Cheng has a B.S. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an M.B.A. from the Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration.
