Joe Bates is the Director of Research for the Consumer Electronics Association. Joe oversees the consumer and business-to-business research program at CEA, which produces over 100 projects per year, including more than 25 unique consumer surveys dealing with buying patterns, awareness of new technologies, interest in product features and a host of other issues.
Joe has been conducting various types of consumer and business-to-business survey research for over 10 years, the last 6 of which have been at CEA. His research experiences prior to joining CEA include research in the areas of political polling, health insurance, telecommunications, law, and manufacturing. Joe graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the College of William and Mary.
