No-Call List
To Whom It May Concern,
I am 100 % behind the No-Call List proposal. The Direct marketing
Association wants me to pay them to take my name off their list. I
never authorized the selling of my name in the
first place.
It is clear they are not capable of policing their members and because of
their inept efforts or that of their inept members. Every
telemarketer that calls me gets my standard line
TAKE ME OFF YOUR LIST. The calls NEVER STOP. I
know people who change their answering machine messages or just turn them
off. These are unsolicited calls. I know people with private
unlisted numbers who get calls. Whom ever is
"selling this information" to DMA also needs to
be stopped.
What is more outrageous is they The DMA want $5.00 from every person who
request their personal information be deleted. I pay taxes already
and welcome close scrutiny of telemarketing.
The DMA should not profit and have sanctions,
and be held accountable for their actions and the actions of
their members. I gladly support the FTC's proposal.
Why do they make money from selling my information with out my permission?
Then have the gall to tell me I have to pay them $5.00 to have my
information deleted.
