I have found that the Telemarketing Sales Rule works very well for me.

Several months ago I was receiving 6 or 7 unwelcome telemarketing calls per week. Then I found out about the "Do Not Call" lists that telemarketers must maintain. I began telling the unwelcome callers, "I'm not interested. Please place me on your Do Not Call list."

The results were dramatic. I have not recieved a telemarketing call for quite some time. The "Do Not Call" list requirement should continue.
