From: "Blake, Ted " TELEMARKETING REVIEW- COMMENT. FTC FILE NO. P994414 I am a deaf person of Greenbelt Maryland having experienced plenty of voice calls even though not listed in the regular telephone directories and registerated on the phone rolls for the special discounts on communications. I also know several others who complain a lot even run into problems in the accusation by others of which I valiantly tried to explain to them the use of special nonvoice logging on the calls eg Month, Week, Day and Hour of recurrences. I also comment on the failure of the Maryland failing to pass the telemarketing bill. Im not a true Marylander preferring to be of Virginia as being there for long time. I work in Maryland so has no other choices. Kindly have the telemarketers be forced to accept the fact that certain people do not understand their voice calls and do not even appreciate the out of area, not available, info on their Caller ID as well not being able to request cancellation or comments to the e-mail originators too They MUST be on equal status as being also receptive as well not obstructing the callers right to reply back. In trhe past for some resasons, I got plenty of unsolicted fax calls which I replied with the fax poll questions to get info on the originator and even telemarketors home residence numbers They find that too intrusive Plenty claim that they called the wrong numbers, but I had logs that some were repeaters. Give my kindest regards to Mrs. Lucille Graves I knew so well long ago. Names Tao Blake.. hope she still recalls me. I think fondly of her great cooking and hospitality. And the super dog Twiggy. |
