To: HQ.DCMAIL3(FUNERAL) Date: Tue, Jun 22, 1999 11:08 PM Subject: Recommendation re: numbering of funeral services The Board of Trustees of the Funeral and Memorial Society of Monterey Bay recommends to the Federal Trade Commission the adoption of a uniquue numbering system (similar to that used by the medical profession) whereby each individual type of service will bear the same identifying number, no matter where the service is performed nor by which funeral director. This system will enable real cost comparisons to be made and will be greatly appreciated by people trying to be astute buyers of funeral services. respectfully, Howard S.
