Subject: review of funeral trade laws

I would like to request that as you are reviewing the law governing funeral homes, you CONTINUE to allow the sale of caskets and other services by third parties and not let a funeral home initiate any extra charges for items that they have not personally sold. People should be allowed to shop around for the best value !!

I heard about this review in an advertisement in the Fort Worth Star Telegram and in the ad, people were urged to call, I called the number, and was lucky to reach a live person. She informed me that only written responses were being taken and while she acknowledged that she had received numerous responses, after she listened to the messages, she was just deleting. That means that no one will pay any attention to those calls. That is a shame and not how government should work. I would have hoped that she would have at least told someone about the volume of calls. Had it not been for that ad, I would have not even known that there was any consideration for something that flys in the face of American competition.

I believe that is disgraceful.
