However, I am very disturbed by this new trend: pop ups. Pop Ups are set up so that anyone going to a webpage where they are being used will be bombarded with that add page whether they want to be or not. The real problem is that if you go to a webpage that has a pop up linked to it, you not only see it when you first go to that page, but when you back up to it as well. This takes up cache memory in a user's computer and the images download to a person's computer when they load onto the page, which means that later on when the user is sifting through images to find one or two they wish to keep that they again end up looking at the ad. People are losing visitors to their web pages because people get so irritated by the pop ups that they don't come back. Its like a store where there's some guy outside handing out pamphlets. The guy is only trying to make a living and in some cases even means well, but the people who encounter them are so annoyed that they stop going to that store. Lt. Trakal |
