Derek advises Commissioner Wright on a wide range of issues in front of the Commission.  Prior to joining the Commission, Derek was an associate in the antitrust practice group at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP, in Washington, DC.  Before joining Cadwalader, Derek served as a law clerk to the Honorable Douglas H. Ginsburg, Circuit Judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, and the Honorable Claude M. Hilton, Senior District Judge on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.  Derek received his law degree the University of Virginia School of Law, and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Virginia.
